Air Currents
Convection currents in the air are very easy to understand. When the air particles get heated by a heat source (such as the sun) the warm air rises, but as the particles cool down, they sink and this cycle is repeated constantly - moving warm air and cool air around .
As stated before, warm air rises and cool air sinks. The same idea applies when it comes to the air moving from areas around the equator. The tropical air particles get heated but then they start to move to each of the poles. But as they reach each pole they cool down and move back towards the equator.
